The students of all age groups in school wrote letters to the prime minister of India , requesting him to intervene and set some rules to prevent soil erosion which ultimately leads toclimate change.

Technology has the potential to unite people globally. American teacher Joe Fatheree decided to set up a Minecraft server allowing students globally to create a new, eco-friendly world. During every moment of the day students across 50 countries built solar panels, hyperloops and other eco-friendly building.

Our school has taken lots of initiatives in various ways to stop the effects of climate change. For example, moth rearing, green team initiavtives, planting saplings, maintaining green wall , composting etc

Students of Millennium World School, Faridabad, India started this project of saving Earth from Week 1 till now with a determination of changing everyday practices and habits.

Change starts with action. Better yet, an action that affects the world around you. A Billion Acts of Green are happening across the planet. From students in classrooms to organizers in their communities to officials in government there are ways for anyone of any background to make a difference. Start small and go big — or start big and stay big. Either way, keep coming back, keep taking action and join the movement to change the world.

Students of DPS Varanasi planted trees in the school as well as outside the school premises. Students also wrote a letter to the district magistrate about controlling air pollution in the city. Students prepared a presentation based on the problems that are responsible for making the city polluted.

Learners were given choice of choosing anyone of the below choices to showcase their responsibilities and understanding. 1.awareness poster 2.Project to reverse cilmate change 3. Prototypes to reduce GHGs

Pledge was signed by students to take actions to prevent the climate change.

Students presented models as an action which can be taken to reduce the damage to environement and hence the changing climate. 

A survey was conducted by students to assess the knowledge gained by students during this project and their understanding about a local environemntal problem ( severe AQI) due to slash burning.

Activity: Under Climate Action Project 2022. Genesis Global School, India, collaborated with the Argentine School Instituto Inmaculada Concepción Rauch, Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina, and the finale was a virtual meeting on 18th November 2022 where they showcased their work.

Details: During this project, the students have created recycled cloth bags and poems in English and Hindi, while Argentinian students created Spanish versions of the poem. The students also interviewed different generations of people to note the changes in the climate. The meeting was also a platform for cultural exchange and discussing how climate change impacts the two countries. It was a fruitful and engaging session.

Future Action: The students of Genesis Global school plan to take is to create cloth bags and paper bags - recycling cloth and paper, thus reducing carbon footprint.

Students grew plants by the method of Hydroponics. This method is known to be the best method so far as it saves soil.

Students took initiative to keep surrounding clean .A cleanliness drive was taken out by the students spreading message of awareness 

Bringing awareness among students has really worked . This made them cautious to use natural resources carefully. We hope this will continue to make small step into a big initiative.

The Grade II learners of Mount Abu Public School, Rohini wrote a letter to the prime minister of India Shri Narendra Modi to take action and save soil as to their belief it eventually impacts the environment.

Our school's Team Green Member did a collaborative session with the Pakistani students.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC  bṛhanmuṃbaī mahānagarapālikā), also known as the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), is the governing civic body of Mumbai, the capital city of Maharashtra. It is India's richest municipal corporation.

Education Department of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai caters to the Drown trodden  people of the society by giving free Education, Health facilities , Hospital treatments at no cost to poor and needy people only & basic necessities of life to live a basic life at peace

The city is divided is into six zones and further divided into 24 wards for administrative convenience. Each ward is headed by an Assistant Commissioner. Further, the Corporation appoints Heads of Departments of the numerous departments that work with a specific mandate such as Water, Health, Sanitation.

Primary Section of the Education Department is considered to be one of the biggest 
department in urban area. 236790 students study in 8 medium of schools. Mumbai is a composition 
city and people from all over the country here for their livehood. Hence, Education Department has 
facilitated 8 medium schools to cater to their needs. MCGM Education Department abides by 
Articles 45 of the constitution of India and renders free and quality education to students in MCGM 
schools. We cater to the primary educational needs of the children belonging to the under privilege 
groups and disadvantaged group of the society- MCGM is contributing in the development of our 
country and renders services to its motherland.
Rapid development is observed in primary education since the independence period. The 
credit goes to the makers of the constitution and the educationists. Right form independence till 
date MCGM education department has seen statistical growth and qualitative development. The 
number of schools has increased from 400 to 1138 (Primary and Secondary). MCGM strives

Students worked for 6 weeks to prepare this documentary to spread awareness on climate change.

Students of Grade 8, organized a Climate Action Awareness Campaign on the Sports Day held in School. The Students acted as the Climate Educators, by sharing information about Causes and Effects of Climate Change and minimum Changes one can do in daily lives to minimise these Effects. They enthusiastically educated all the audience present on the Sports Day.

Students of Grade 5A from TIPS Salem India enacted a skit on Water vs Everybody and created an awareness on as how water bodies play an important role on climate change .

As students got to know about the reasons for climate change and environmental effects  they started their actions from their daily routine , from home , through posters and through campaigns for the global awareness.

We should follow 5r concept Reduce Recycle,Reuse, Recover, Replace. Our Children collect the waste and convert into the useful material to reuse the product like water bottle as gardening purpose, craft work material from CD, paper work… In home: Our children plant a saplings in their home to prevent climate change… Homes and commercial buildings account for about a third of the country’s greenhouse gas emissions, because it takes energy to heat and cool them and to power all the gadgets we’ve got plugged in. Old-style incandescent light bulbs in your house, go buy LEDs instead. And stop electronic devices such as televisions and laptop computers from sipping power all night long. Plugging them into a power strip makes it easy to disconnect them at night, and a “smart power strip” The solar panels and heater renewable energy resources used in home. In Community: Solar renewable energy resources light plant in the streets as street lamp,parks. first and foremost, reduce their consumption; recycle and compost whenever possible; ask their apartment/workplace/church etc. to implement recycling and/or composting; if composting is not an option where they live, that talk to their local representatives about developing a composting program. Our children secure pet animals,birds by building a shed,nest and safeguard them. In government: India’s Prime Narendra Modi has set his country a target of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2070, a significantly later deadline than many other countries attending the Glasgow climate summit. India also set itself a deadline of 2030 to reduce its emissions by one billion tonnes.

This week students visit in and around the school and try to find the big issues related to our environment and proposed the easy solution and procedure to make it in action.

Students researched Climate Action initiatives taken globally and locally, and shared them with each other along with their own group's action ideas in the form of a slide presentation. Furthermore, inspired by WWF's Forest of Promises* (2021), we decided to continue taking action by writing personal promises and demands for our leaders to tackle Climate Change, on leaves, expressed in the form of a tree called MGU Leaves of Promises.

The widespread use of plastic in Malaysia has raised the concerns of various parties. This is because, we are aware that the impact of the widespread use of plastic in Malaysia can be harmful to the surrounding. We use plastic when shopping for groceries and also in restaurants or eateries using straws and plastic wrappers. More regrettably, these plastics were then dumped in the wrong channel causing our environment to be polluted and disrupting habitats on land and in the oceans. The project "Say No to Plastic" has many benefits:

1. Students and teachers can take advantage of this program by prescribing the practice of reducing plastic consumption and recycling practices.
2. Students can be aware of the effects of plastic consumption which can lead to human health, water life and the environment.
3. Students can learn about the importance of plastic waste collection and recycling of used plastics for daily use.
4. Students can learn about the importance of plastic waste collection and selling recycled goods to generate income for future use.

In conclusion, the students were able to work together to carry out this project with the assistance of the advisory teachers and the committee. They managed to collect 91.2 kg of plastic waste. The students were able to clean used plastic trash from home weekly and they brought the trash to the  school every Wednesday to be sent to the TL Recycling factory, Tawau. The students have presented the benefits of this project in Malaysia and internationally in several countries. In addition,several students participated in  a project "SUCHANA-For the Planet Saviours UN-SDG Goals Project" and The FUTURE WE WANT -SERIES III in collaboration with Internaitonal English Language Teachers Association(IELTA) in taking real actions by investigating and preparing prototypes using used plastic items  from this recycling project and planting trees/plants as part of the projects. In conclusion, the students are able to participate in this international Climate Action International Project to take "environmental actions" to save the earth through avoiding the use of plastic as well as recycling and upcycling the trash.

This recycling project '"Say No to Plastic" will continue throughout the school to foster a love for the environment among the students. In addition, the students are eager to continue the program every Wednesday from 6.40am to 6.55am so that our small step can lead to giant leaps in saving the environment, sea creatures in oceans/rivers and humans health.

Raising awareness and thereby understanding of the effects of climate change on health will facilitate both behavioural change and societal support for the actions needed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It can also help in getting health-care professionals to support strategies for mitigation and adaptation that will both improve health and reduce vulnerability.

Students pledged to work for the betterment of their environment through several activities.

Beaconhouse Cantt Campus Sargodha given the command to their students s a Green Embassador to create awraness about pollution through different activities like speeches,posters,memes performances,gallery walk and by planting a tree.Our students are working from last two years to bring a change in environment.

Climate Warriors are in week 6 now.It's high time to take action. Our country Pakistan has been constantly ranked among the most affected nations climate change. Our people in various regions of the nation are as  of now getting drastically affected by climate change, which include flash floods due to glacier melt, increased heat waves, water scarcity, rising sea levels, food shortages, and displacement of people. The most exceedingly awful part is that these effects are simply going to cause further deterioration of our land. In such a situation, it is mandatory for us to take measures to control climate change.  Students wrote letters to government departments to take some action. Our government should undertake urgent programs to improve the situation of the country.

Students volunteered to work in the municipal seed bank, which would challenge climate change, and there was practical training at all stages and in private laboratories.The students communicated with Palestine Polytechnic University to hold an important lecture on engineering and environmental sciences, on issues of sustainability, water security, food security, smart cities, and others.

Jeans Jeans are a common and popular fashion in the 21st century. Many people use it but not many people know the dark and dirty way of making jeans. Today I am going to show you how jeans are made and the advantages and disadvantages of jeans and many more.

Firstly, Jeans have their good and bad sides. Many of the jeans you have are made from unsustainable materials. Let’s find out what bad sides your daily jeans have

Disadvantages

Cotton firstly to grow takes up a lot of water as cotton I one of the thirstiest plants on the planet. To get the color of the jeans is another story itself. The jeans dye is so very harmful, to the water bodies. It is so bad that people that live nearby had to leave due to the lack of food and cleanliness of the water

Advantages

Many of the jeans have now used less harmful chemicals by decreasing the darkness and washing and cleansing it with chemicals to decrease its effect. Due to the effect of water pollution, many companies like Levi’s have made goals to have cottonfree jeans and shirts. Denim has taken this to another level by creating an entirely different brand called Taylor stitch organic 68’ denim. Denim has also started using Tencel which is basically dried-up wood pulp. In Belgium, the jeans are 50% made out of old jeans and 50% of Tencel which removes most of the hazardous chemicals used. This uses 6000 liters of water less than a regular pair of jeans. Now you must be like removing all your jeans and throwing them in the trash, that will just cause more harm. There are many ways you can reuse them too.

Alternatives to using plastic toothbrushes which are healthier and more environmentally friendly. 

My students and I have devised several initiatives in support of the climate action project, and all of them were approved by the Director of Education in my city and pledged to help us spread them in all schools in the Syrian governorates

These initiatives are: 1- Cleaning and planting school gardens and public parks on the roads, and documenting the event with the Land Program.  2- A box and life map for student Sam Hassan, in which he employs a climate action map, where an apology and pledge card is attached to the living organism, whether an animal or plant threatened with extinction, in its place on the map, after they search for this organism and determine the cause and consequences of its life threat. 3- Biological sustainability initiative for students, the Sam brothers  +Zulfiqar +Mounir Jameh conduct an awareness campaign about the harms of plastic and conduct live experiments in front of their peers on how to melt plastic and make bioplastics.  4- The Wamda Environmental Sensitivity Initiative for students, the brothers Malak + Mustafa + Alia Janoudi.  The aim is to take advantage of plastic glassware covers and draw beautiful paintings on them expressing the damages of global warming and pollution to water, air and soil and their impact on organisms

We will tell everyone that we need to protect our environment as much as we can.

We continued our tree planting activity.

In the 6th week, we wrote a letter to call on the climate crisis as teachers and students in the action plan. We went to Eskişehir's local newspaper. We handed it over to the editor-in-chief.

Climate Change Is Not Our Destiny.
It was a project adventure in which our students became conscious about the environment. They proved this with various activities.

We have mentioned our project to school principle.

We watched the speakers of the climate action project from youtu.be. We were going to visit the mayor for the last week, but it didn't happen. Because the president was out of town. We will visit next week and share it with the newspapers.

To take action for climate, they formed two different committees to manifest. The first group went on manifesting to The Metropolitan Municipality of Bursa. Mrs. Yıldız Odaman Cindoruk, The Head of Environmental Protection, Control and Climate Change Department hosted the committee and shared our ideas about the reasons, the effects and the solutions for Climate Change. We obtained a promise to collaborate for future interactions. The other committee headed for Osmangazi District Municipality and were welcomed by Borough master Mr. Mustafa Dundar and district deputy mayor, Mr. Bulent Hamdi Cıngıl and zero waste manager, Mrs. Dilek Yosun. They manifested what they did about the project. Finally we all shared the good wishes and promised to collaborate about climate change.

We prepared our Climate Action Manifesto and had it signed by the mayor. We got the word for what needs to be done at the local base. We explained the work we did throughout the project and promised to help in the implementation of the municipality's "Zero Waste" project.

Laboratuarımızda muhabbet kuşu yetiştirdik.Kuluçka makinemize evde yumurtlanmış kuş yumurtası getirdi öğrencimiz.Yumurtayı petri kabına  pamukla yerleştirdik.Ayrıca bir behere de su koyduk.Ortam nemini sağladık.Her gün yönünü çevirdik.İki hafta sonunda çatladı yumurtamız birkaç gün içinde de çıkmayı başardı minik kuşumuz.

We raised budgerigars in our lab. Our student brought bird eggs that were laid at home to our incubator.VVWe placed the egg in a petri dish with cotton wool. We also put water in a beaker. We ensured the ambient humidity. We turned it around every day. After two weeks, our little bird was able to hatch within a few days.

In the letter, we shared that there may be the installation of solar energy panels and energy production in our school at the rate of compliance with the physical conditions of our school. 

6 weeks of our work on climate action: we were invited to the university as a good example for our work on combating climate change. My students told about their work to teacher candidates at the university. At the same time, with the invitation of UNSDNS Turkey coordinator, we came together with the teachers over zoom and explained our work.We interacted with schools in different countries. We shared our work.

6. Week

There was talk about recycling. The importance of recycling for the protection of forests, soil and rivers was mentioned.

Each child, together with his family, designed costumes from leftover materials in their homes. They exhibited these costumes at school.

Then they made piggy banks out of plastic or cardboard boxes in their homes.

RECYCLING AND DONATION AS A CALL TO ACTION

Students from New Indian Model School, Dubai, participated in plantation drive in school. They used recyclable plastic bottles for the plantation. This activity was conducted by the Agro Club in school.

The United Arab Emirates faces a multitude of climate concerns, including rising sea levels, limited freshwater resources, rising temperatures, extreme weather and desertification, and unsustainable energy consumption and urbanization. While these challenges are not unique to the region, the UAE has been at the forefront of initiatives and policies aimed at adapting to and mitigating the effects of climate change. The UAE was the first country in the region to sign the Paris Agreement, and, in 2016, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment was established to promote legislation and other strategies to address climate change. More recently, the UAE adopted the National Climate Change Plan, with ambitious goals aimed at limiting greenhouse gas emissions and increasing climate adaptation capabilities. The UAE also hosts the International Renewable Energy Agency and some of the world’s largest solar power plants and carbon capture systems.

6 actions we can take right now

2. Air dry your hair and clothes.
3. Take short showers.
4. Recycle paper, plastic, glass and aluminium.
5. Bring your own bag when you shop.
6. Speak up!

In this week, students raise their voice and write letters to our school leaders and government authorities to bring the issues of climate change to their attention and to ask for action from a high level.

Tree-planting is the process of transplanting tree seedlings, generally for forestry, land reclamation, or landscaping purpose. It differs from the transplantation of larger trees in arboriculture, and from the lower cost but slower and less reliable distribution of tree seeds.

Students planted a tree.

First they were separated in different groups, one group prepared the soil, one prepared the tree, the third group planted the tree and the last one water it.

By planting trees you can help improve your environment, reduce pollution, save money on energy, enhance the appearance of your community, and increase the value of your property by planting and maintaining trees.
By blocking sunlight, trees can lower the temperature of the air. When water evaporates from the leaf surface, it cools even more. The chemical process of converting water into air vapor removes heat and energy from the air.
A tree can work as an air conditioner on its own. A single tree's evaporation can cool as many rooms as 10 air conditioners running twenty hours a day.
Place deciduous trees on the south and west sides of your home to block summer sunlight while allowing winter sunlight to reach and warm your home.

With all these benefits, the students are convinced that we can do better.

We planted a ginkgo tree in the school yard. 

All students completed the World’s Largest Lesson Transforming Education Survey for students. Students participated in the Climate Action Day, Watch Party. We collaborated with school from Greece on the Padlet Let's connect. Students prepared their own ideas for climate change solutions in our school and we exposed them on the board in the school corridor. Call for climate action in school was published on the school Facebook page. We invited all students, parents, teachers and other employees of the school to join the further elaboration of our students' ideas. We submitted our actions to the Longest list of Actions. On the school website we published all about our Climate Action Project activities, for each week.

Climate Action Project 2022

- week 6; students work

The students helped clean the banks of the Žrnovnica river that flows near the city Split , and afterwards they had a workshop about universe and climate change. They observed the moon and stars through a telescope, took pictures and spent time in pure nature, learning about the importance of preserving the environment.

During theClimate Action Day students made posters with group work that they will present on November 10 to students from Delhi Private School, RAK in Abu Dhabi, as well as on November 14 to students from elementary school in Belgrade and also they watched presenters on Youtube.

As final activities, the students realized several environmental actions. They collected fruit seeds, which they then planted in the school yard. They made cheerful pots from already used cans, which they painted and decorated with various colors, in which they planted flowers. They collected caps, which they selected in various colors. They made a mixture on which to place the caps and made fun tiles, which were placed in the school yard to make a fun game.

Activities in the last week of the project include making plastic bottle pots in animal shapes and making number tiles. The students used spray paint to paint the bottles, then decorated them with recycled material and planted flowers. For the realization of the second activity, they collected plastic caps, made a mixture of glue, and made tiles with numbers. The tiles are in the schoolyard, so all the students can play on them.

The sad caps brought cheerful children's laughter to the created children's corner. We collected caps, learned to make a mixture to make tiles with the collected caps. Tile by tile we worked diligently. And the idea became a reality.

This week the students made leaflets that were distributed, participated in tree planting and organized flash mob.

Elevii au plantat copăcei în grădinuța liceului,  urmând să îi ude zilnic, ca ei să se prindă și să bucure privirea oamenilor. Au enumerat ce acțiuni poate realiza fiecare om pentru a avea natura pe care ne-o dorim. Apoi au realizat desene tematice.

The students from the 8th form presented some lessons to the students from primary school, they discussed about nature and clime, especially about solutions how to save nature. They also wrote articles  on facebook, instagram, twitter. Moreover, they plan to organize a flashmob.

It was the last week of the project. First of all we took part in Climate Action Day. It was amazing. We created some more presentations on different ecological problems and organized the contest of posters. As an action our school work on the project Green school. All students of the school make their parts of school yard greener, they plant trees, bushes, flowers, clean the yard from rubbish. 

Right now we analyze everything that was done .We are looking forward to the next year project.

Codrii sunt mândria Republicii Moldova. Pe lângă faptul că sunt o resursă de materie primă de lemn, ne protejează de vânturile puternicde, purifică aerul, sunt un loc de recreere inedit, mai sunt și mediul de trai a diverse specii de plante și animale. În ciuda tuturor acestor beneficii ale pădurilor, noi ne confruntăm cu o realitate mult mai dură...

Actualmente, pădurilie sunt medii contaminate cu diverse deșeuri produse de către oameni. Periodic, noi, elevii instituțiilor de învățământ din municipiul și raionul Orhei întreprindem acțiuni de salubrizare a pădurilor alături de profesorii noștrii, cu scopul de a îmbunătăți calitatea mediului în care trăim și de a servi drept exemple de comportament ecologic pentru comunitatea noastră. Astfel, pas cu pas, umăr la umăr, vom reuși să reeducăm populația spre a lua atitudine vizavii de problemele ecologice cu care ne confruntăm.

This week we had an opportunity to meet with a project group from Moldavia, we shared information about our projects and exchanged opinions.

My class of electronics are building a bin, which is to light up when someone throws rubbish inside. It is a way of saying thank you that you put litter here, not on the streets,)

This last week, students made a deep refletion on how to, with their small actions, make a difference and change mindsets in what concerns Climate Changes.

În urma participării la Climate Action Project elevii au aflat despre cauzele și efectele poluării, au venit cu soluții pentru reducerea poluării și au concluzionat că grija pentru mediul înconjurător trebuie sa fie un obicei de zi cu zi pentru a păstra sănătatea planetei și pe cea a oamenilor. 

We loved this task and we decided to choose this brand of close, cause we use to we use to buy clothes from recycled materials and natural fibers from them. Some of us are in their program The only trends worth following? Recycling and repairing and we take old or unused clothes to be recycled by them. So that from their mobile application we presented their sustainability program to all colleagues and had a debate on this topic.

Am dorit sa interactionam cu elevi de varsta noastra din Brazilia. Am trimis intrebari despre actounile pe care ei le intreprind pentru protehjarea mediului, ne-am interesat despre principalele probleme cu care se confrunta ei. Asteptam raspunsurile, dar si intrebarile lor!

We strongly believe that everyday actions make a difference: taking the bus or the train when travelling, commuting or at weekends, selective recycling of  our waste, consciencious shopping habits and treating nature with respect. Our patrol students made it a mission to promote these ideas by organizing a march to promote environmentally friendly lifestyle.

Am mers cu elevii intr-o plimbare in parcurile apropiate scolii si am analizat si fotografiat arborii, apoi am adunat frunze pentru realizarea unei colectii.

Am organizat cu elevii din clasa mea o campanie de protejare a albinelor prin realizarea unor picturi pe folie in parcul din fața școlii.

Ca o finalitate a proiectului, pe parcursul unei zile, preșcolarii și cadrele didactice au desfășurat diferite activități prin care au demonstrat că schimbările climatice pot fi evitate. Cu această ocazie a fost invitată și presa pentru a populariza în rândul comunității.

Ma bucur tare mult pentru ca am participat la acest proiect, multumesc tuturor organizatorilor, tuturor participantilor! Chiar am invatat multe si mi-am dat seama cat e de importanta aceasta activitate impreuna cu ceilalti participanti, impreuna cu organizatorii, impreuna cu invitatii! Va multumesc din suflet ca mi-ati dat ocazia sa particip la acest eveniment minunat!

We, the students from Traian Theoretical High School, from the city of Constanta, Romania, want to live in a clean city, with parks and many green spaces. We want you to help us arrange the high school garden, plant flowers and trees, build houses for the birds. In order to reduce energy costs, we want you to help us complete the project we are trying to complete, namely to purchase and install solar panels on the roof of the school. We expect you to support us in our greening and environmental protection actions.

Prescolarii au plantat in curtea gradinitei doi puieti de gorun. Invatam sa ne ingrijim si ocrotim locul pe care il utilizam destul de des si unde petrecem foarte mult timp ( curtea gradinitei). The preschoolers from the kindergarten with extended program no.1 from Caransebeș - the structure of the kindergarten with extended program no.2 from Caransebeș participated for 6 weeks in the International Climate Action project.

The project was carried out in partnership with NASA, UN and WWF and wants to change students' behavior on climate change and environmental threats.

Within the project, over 3,400,000 students from 149 countries participated, with the same purpose: "saving the planet from global warming".

Within this project the preschoolers, guided by the educating ladies Vlasie Elena Vasilica, Ianchiș Adriana Vasilica, Iacob Diana, Daminescu Oana, Crăciunescu Sîrbu Cristina, Ștefan Lucica and Vrînceanu Nicoleta made drawings, posters, watched presentations about the causes and effects of the climatic changes. Romania as well as from the other countries participating in the project, made online meetings with preschoolers from other kindergartens involved.

Copiii au aflat că oamenii pun ecosistemele în pericol prin distrugerea raurilor de munte în scopuri energetice.

My students started action to prevent climate change process. They created a chart with their daily activities and decided to walk more, use bicycles, reduce pollution by recycling, find alternative energy. They decided to have a schedule with time interval when they will walk or recycle or use public transportation instead of cars. We are also wasting less water and using less electric power. I will send to the local and international press articles about this wonderful project.

Every autumn we are planting trees in our school garden. This year we planted 4 maple trees and one cherry. We also planted chrysantemas in front of our school.

Elevii pot învăța de la colegii mai mari,  de la experți sau cercetători și pot accesa o paletă variată de surse în funcție de vârstă și interese. Elevii au folosit tehnologia pentru a colabora cu elevii din alte țări, au participat la întâlniri cu cercetători, au colaborat la diferite proiecte, au codat și au accesat platforme diverse: nasa kids, WWF,  essero, national geographic, paxi, etc.

Elevii de la specialitatea tehnician ecolog și protecția calității mediului, profilul resurse naturale și protecția mediului, sub îndrumarea prof. de protecția mediului, Ardeiu Iulica Daniela au participat la acțiuni ecologice în parteneriat cu:Primăria Municipiului Motru, Serviciul Județean de Management Integrat al Deșeurilor Gorj, Aparegio Gorj, Direcția Publică Motru SA

 Acţiune pentru Climă. Aceasta zi a luat naștere datorită schimbărilor climatice considerate una dintre cele mai mari provocări ale secolului nostru care ne afectează la nivel global. Schimbările climatice din ultimii ani au un impact semnificativ atît asupra ecosistemelor naturale, biodiversităţii, resurselor naturale, cît şi asupra sănătații umane.

România a resimţit direct efectele încălzirii globale: temperaturi extreme, inundaţii, furtuni violente. De aceea, este important ca opinia publică, în special tinerii, să fie informaţi cu privire la impactul pe care îl pot avea asupra mediului şi a stilului de viaţă pe care trebuie sa îl adopte pentru a contribui la reducerea emisiilor de gaze cu efect de seră. E important ca, în viitorul apropiat, cursurile despre schimbări climatice să devină parte a curriculei şcolare. Noi toţi trebuie să devenim mai reponsabili şi să ne implicăm în dezvoltarea tehnologiilor şi produselor nepoluante.

ARETE project and Climate Action Day 2022

We made actions for Climate Changes. We made toys using recycle materials. We were guests of a project implemented by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia with the help of the European Union and the government of the Kingdom of Sweden. The goal of the project is to separate waste in households in order to enable recycling and thus reduce the amounts that end up in landfills. Our friends introduced themselves with the play "Bird of Paradise".

We made a table and a chair out of plastic bottles and a mosaic planet out of blue and green shutters to decorate our table. We organized the planting of 5 spruce trees in the kindergarten in cooperation with the "Serbian forests" with their donation. Together with our parents, we made eco-costumes from materials that can be recycled: newspapers, bags, shoelaces, snack bags... We walked in costumes around our city with posters to draw the attention of people in our area.

We are taking action. Soon we will plant a big tree in our school and perhaps some flowers too! We will also clean the park and send a message to all our families by doing posters where it says how you can make a better planet!

We shared with our students on various social media tools by making a digital calendar to draw attention to environmental pollution and to gain different perspectives.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Environmental Protection, Control and Climate Change Department Head Mr. Hürriyet MTLA students together with our school students presented the manifesto of our Climate Action Project to Yıldız Odaman CINDORUK and Osmangazi Deputy Mayor. Our cooperation will continue with the effective work we will do in the coming days.

With this project, our school students' awareness of the consequences of climate change has increased. As a school, we decided to reduce our carbon and water footprint. Our school students and teachers flowered the garden of our school and planted trees.

On October 31, 2022, with the participation of Hürriyet MTAL, ISE Science High School and our school student, Prof.Dr. We held an interview with Sıddık CINDORUK and Dr. Sevil CALISKAN on Global warming and climate change. One of our aims was to raise awareness of our project.

We watched the live broadcast with our students on November 3, 2022. We watched the activities of other international schools with pleasure.

Based on the changes in their consciousness and behavior as a result of their work, our students who carried out the project organized activities to spread this effect to wider masses, to increase the social impact, and to make them aware of the problem and take action.

We conducted these 6-week activities with my class, together with my assistant principal.

Participants from Poland, Romania and Turkey, students, teachers, parents, local authorities and the press took part in the opening of our vertical greenhouse realized with our project. The mayor, the District Governor, the District Director of National Education and the students talked about climate change and expressed their concerns about the future.Our students, who wanted to draw attention to climate change with sustainable agriculture studies, carried out social awareness activities in their five-day activities.

We watched the Climate Action Day Webinar

We planted an ornamental pepper plant and some soculents and are seeing them grow in our homes.

We cleaned-up our garden and asked to have the same plot for us to cultive organic vegetables and spices as well as creating a Hotel for Bees and Butterflies

My granddaughter connected so much to a Global Warming cartoon I found on the web, that she cried for a few minutes because she was afraid that the earth was going to burst.  She is hearting the earth and every living and non-ling thing in it.  She is the one leading our action, but it will not take place until earth day because we are planting a Japanese Cherry Tree (a Cherry Blosson) at her school on Earth Day as our six-weeks interaction with the Climate Action Project and as a final action for Climate Action Schools.  On Nov. 3rd, we visited the nursery the school recommended and found our that we cannot order the tree until March to be planted in April.  The cost of the tree will be from $200-400, so we will start collecting come money to purchase the tree and the things needed to planted.

My grandson is very connected to planting trees, but since the cost of the tree for his former pre-school is high, we will only plant one this year.  He will continue his research on how to have street clean-up after the virus is over.  His mom got Covid last week and that really stopped our efferts about connecting to city hall and firefighters as well as connected to the friends who will help with the clean-up.  We are committed to picking up trash in a safe and caring way for everyone involved.

I placed the Climate Action Day on my Facebook.  My grandson, who had a fever on Nov. 3th watched the Webinar as he made some weavings, and colored on November 4th.  He also started the world in 2030 if we did everything possible drawing to send to Khoen.  We might not be among the first five hundred to get the online book, but the process was cathartic as it helped him and I design our solutions with hope and optimism.

My grandson also made a list of what goals we had had with our involvement with Climate Action Project since 2020 and what goals he had for the world until 2029.  We will continue with the Lego Challenge today.  Even if it takes us several months to do, we will complete it.

In the curriculum, we are still analyzing and trying to understand Global Warming this week.  We will continue to see causes and effects and how our climate is changing.  I believe that the more we understand why our earth needs us to heal the sickness we have given to her, the more their little minds will strenghten their understanding of why they are planting trees and why they want a zero waste world, a circular economy, and sustainable living.

I deeply thank Jennifer and Khoen for the quality speakers they find and how they connect us to the avant-guard experts in a variety of fields.  There is so much to learn, I am overhelmed, but excited about the solutions we are already creating to balance humanity and earth sustainability.  I am for repurposing airplanes as solar and wind powered machines until we can find a way like the transporters on Start Treak.  

I will continue to create the ABC's of our learning picture book.  

I connected to the local newspapers but recieved no replies.  

The students decided to make some posters to share ways to change the situation. They made an Earth Pledge where they compromise to help our planet.

Our students throughout their training and since the beginning of our school, know the importance of our resources and their relationship with the balance of our planet, which is why, over 6 weeks they adopted the commitment to contribute with small but significant actions.

They know that the conservation and care of our planet is not only the task of one, but of all and that is why they decided to make various campaigns that encompass our community, that is, both students, parents, teachers and society in general.
For them, the list of solutions and measures to counteract the effects of climate change is endless, however, they consider that the most important are :

1. The care of water: In this campaign the secondary students transmitted a significant message to our primary school students, thereby ensuring that the younger generations are firmly aware of the use and care of this important natural resource.

2. Also, our high school students, from 2dn grade, have been working in the school garden; here students and parents are working together, In such a way that the entire educational community raises awareness about healthy lifestyles but also about caring for our planet and the soil. In addition to the school garden, they campaigned to plant endemic trees in our region and carried out organic pesticides in the laboratory with the help of chemistry teachers for the protection of the school garden.

3. Another of the solutions that students propose to help our planet, is undoubtedly the circle of the 3Rs, reuse, reuse and recycle. For this we have the presence of an expert in recycling, business leader of one of the most important recycling organizations in our region. She shared with the whole school, the necessary guidelines for recycling, that is, the specifications to separate and recycle various plastic containers.

4.Another of the measures that our youngest students have adopted in order to safeguard and protect our planet, is the care of our biodiversity, especially our hummingbirds and bees, knowing in advance that both species have a fundamental role in the biodiversity on which we all depend to survive, that is, they are important pollinators.

5. Also our students created the 2 projects: Science fair; where they present their creations and sustainaible products, with environment friendly materials, and Open Class, where our primary level students present their recycling projects.

Our students know that part of their academic training leads to contribute not only for 6 weeks to the care of our Earth, we know in advance that these and other actions must always remain so that new generations have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits, benefits and natural beauty of our planet.
