Then They decide to produce outputs about Climate Change Causes.

Bangladesh is a density of populations country! Approximately 170 people live in the country where the area is 1570 sq km. So the swage system and unplan industries garbage, smoke and kitchen; wastage people through here and there. Moreover reconditions cars black smoke is very bad for the environment. So air pollution is a big problem for our country. So our students try to find out the problem and the solution and compare with other countries how to recover or reduce gradually or how conscious soon among ourselves.

We are 5th Graders from Genesis Global School, Noida. We have recorded what we think about climate change.

The Foundation School  acts  for  SDG 1 3 - Climate Action.

Since my students are very young, we gave a little introduction  in context and   gathered resources to share with our students about climate change. The students looked at the meaning of ‘Climate Change and  the causes of climate change during the first week. They researched in the library, on the internet, brainstormed and discussed with each other. There was collaborative and peer -learning as one of them got down to explain the basic science pf climate change. They invited  parents to school and  interviewed them and people on the streets to get their take on climate change.

For the first week, we have done intensive research on the causes of climate change in our state Delhi in India and my students have come up with a creative vedio where they are talking about their findings and experiences about climate chane causes.

Climate Change is a global issue that is affecting every inch of this planet. Global leaders all seem to recognize this and are starting to speak out about their concerns. Global warming is a serious issue that demands serious attention.Students of SDPS ,India enthusiastically participated in Climate Action project.

very happy  to share  with you that we are participating in this project and  this gives new Ideas and encouragement to my students, they feel  very happy that they are doing something  for our mother earth, the effort we are doing may be very small but  we feel that it's better to start than just sit and watch... !! Students of Grade 8 collaborated and created videos. Since we have 7 divisions with 40 students each, 7 videos were made in all. Students displayed confidence, showed research skills and interviewed people from the community to seek opinions and solutions. Together they have displayed talents beyond our expectations. 

More than 250 students of Grade 8 gathered and worked towards creating a video on climate change. With 7 divisions having 40 students each, 7 videos were created in total. The video uploaded is a culmination of their efforts. 

The aim of this drive is to spread awareness amongst young growing minds about how change in climate can affect the environment of earth globally. The students have themselves witnessed many natural disasters in  India itself.  The project aim is to sensitize students regarding how they all can join hands and work not only to find solutions but to start implementing in their own way. The implementation and thought to bring a change began in school itself with plantation drive. The students of the core team further trained and taught their junior classes in free periods which were utilised effectively learning about Climate Change. After discussions students prepared Charts to be displayed in school lobby for public view by all teachers and students. They exhibited their work and explained their posters.

In the first week students have been introduced with " What is Climate Change" and on the basis of their understanding students have created power point presentations, comic strips etc and presented their understanding of "What is climate Change" through this small video.

 The aim of our project to introduce the SDGs for the Students first then to focuse on Goal 13: Climate Action , the students will search the web and thier local area for the causes of climate change they must be able to define what is climate change means for the planet and for them self as individuals , they must collaborate with each other along the project faces, they must search what will happen if we do not take any action, and what is the aim of working in global space togather to achieve goal 13.

I'm a teacher from Thailand who consider myself to be a part of SDGs, intend to teach my students to consider themselves as global citizens to heal our world together with others 

The students (Grade 3 to Grade 6) were informed of the project a few days before the deadline for submission of their first video (Week 1). They formed their groups and worked together on the project at school and at home (they live in the same area).

Students created first a small intro video and cut it themselves to introduce themselves.

During our lessons this week they spread out and searched for sources - what is climate change, how does it affect our lives.

Then they wrote a script and let a computer generated voice talk their script.

They completed the video just on time with CC0 Picture material so the script relates to pictures.

Climate Action Project, Week 1, from STEM Class 3E, The Grammar School, Nicosia (Cyprus)

The video was created by 5 groups of students, and then put together. It includes animations, power points. At the end the students took pictures of them forming the letters "climate change" with their bodies. The music and song was synthesised by students.

From Greece to the World

Week 1:What is Climate Change?

We are responsible for climate. Climate action is important, because of global warming!

First, we informed the  younger students about climate change and the older students conducted research into its causes.  Then we divided the research into various categories and looked at the effect of climate change on them.  These categories included - water ( precipitation, rivers, seas and fresh drinking water) bees, forests, birds and weather patterns.  The projects varied  relative to the ages of the children involved.

Our students created a power point presentation, which ,then, was presented on the video we made explaining what climate change is and its causes.

First week we spen a day at the lake, discovering our beautiful nature. Discussing: Why is it beautiful for us? Why do we have to protect it?

During Week 1 students planned their projects using mind maps. They researched what is climate change and what it causes climate change and they prepare a presentation. 

The video has been made by the students of Grade 2AIT of Technical School Galileo Galilei , Gorizia Italy

They watched a documentary about climate changes, anlysed some material with their Chemistry teacher, Ms. Scattarregia, and then discussed about the script and the storyline of the video.

My third grade class has been studying Global Warming and its effects on our planet. During week 1 (and week 2) we began reading the Magic School Bus Climate Challenge book.  We also watched National Geographic and WWF videos and then researched what is happening. The students divided into groups and worked together to prepare props and a presentation. The groups were: Pollution, Extreme Weather, Ice Caps Melting, Oceans Rising, Deforestation and Endangered Animals. They had so much fun learning and are determined to take action. Their first step was to stop using plastic water bottles (a big problem in Italy) in our classroom. Next week we have invited the Director General for Sustainable Development, Climate and Energy of the Ministry of Environment and Protection of the Territory and Sea- Italy.

After introducing  the sustainable development goals and focusing on goal 13, the students in the fourth form of a culinary art course at IIS P. Sraffa Crema were involved in a brainstorming session about climate change followed by a webquest about it and its possible causes. The final product of this set of student-centred lessons  is a video where the students point out what they have found out!

 Students present  their country very briefly and show the conclusions after having brainstormed, explored  and discussed the topic.

The class worked in small groups. There were moments of individual work but mostly group work. The students played Plickers to express their ideas, played a puzzle to learn about the Sustainable Development Goals, made brainstorm about the causes, made some research online and at the School Library. Students were presented to a new digital tool, Powtoon. After some exploration each group made a video. All videos had the same script. At the end every video was evaluated and the whole class elected their favourite.

At the end students reflected about their work and learnt from their experiences. 

There were 4 subjects involved: English, Citizenship,  Sciences and ICT.

  Since a few years the weather is changing. Throughout this year, summer has reached very high temperatures which has sparked nationwide fires, some of them quite intensely. Also the wind that made itself felt increased the burning area that was growing larger. The "Serra de Sintra" was a fire that started at 10 pm and even at this hour the wind was blowing with great intensity

Our students talk about climate change and  their causes. They want to do something! We were in a trip to Saline Ocnele Mari ( Big Salt) and we saw the beautiful walls of salt. In our country are 4 seasons. In the trip we admired  the nature and we cleaned the yard of ZOO. Our motto isTHE BEST WAY TO LEARN IS TO DO, TO ASK!  LET`S CHANGE THE WORD!

We have been working with the global goals in all different subjects. This little video was made by the students. 

We are grade 8 students from Rodabergsskolan in Stockholm. We would like to talk about our concern about the rapidly changing climate on Earth. We would like to raise awareness about this global problem and we strongly believe that 'together we can'!

During the first week pupils of the Horodyshche economic lyceum focused on the causes of Climate Change.

Voici notre petite video a propos nous!  Our quick video about us & climate action thoughts.  Students were quite aware of what climate change is and more importantly, they knew that humans are the cause of the change but can within the same breathe, be the solution.  We will continue our efforts into week two and three by appreciating the land we are on, thinking of our connection to it through a geography/science mindset and to be solution orientated. 

This week,  Grade 7 students worked together to come up with a definition of climate change and what is happening around the world.

We looked at Women in Science and disussed the impact of single use plastics and whales in particular.  We participated in a Skype call with Catherine McKenna and ME to WE surprise guest Craig Kielburger.  We asked questions about the national and international impact of climate change on all living things in ecosystems.  We discussed large numbers, ocean statistics, and related it to our current Math and Science units.

The Grade 7 students at All saints began exploring their journey on Climate Change last week. The students began co-creating knowledge by analyzing through a causal model on major causes on Climate change.  We began our project a week late due to climate change causes in our community as a tornado. We also see the effect o climate change in a pond near the school where some od water is drying up. We look forward to the following weeks to add the major factors and plan on the action taking within our community. We look forward to connecting to other classrooms from around the world. 

My young students enjoyed exploring the introduction to this project. We’ve included a short intro about our school too.

This week the three gr 9 GEO - Phillips classes wanted to welcome you to Nepean, and then they also spent a bit of time generally thinking about the question "What is climate change?"   Three classes will be working on this project over the semester.

The students at William F Cooke, Jr researched climate and climate change.  They are passionate about the increased severity of storms and wildfires.  They are worried about polar bears and sea life.  These students are calling for action in reducing, reusing, and rejecting.
