In this week I tried to let you now the promises that my students have done to plant more than 500 trees all over thier community.

By knowing the benefits of plants and their role to protect the climate, students have planted seedling and vegetative propagates. To avoid the use of polythenes they have made paper bags from the waste papers, used charts, and newspaper.

Students were given many options, they wrote reports and published them in school magazine.

Our students said waste not want not and conducted a food drive where they collected perishables and non- perishables  and distributed them amoung the less fortunate.

Take urgent actions to combat climate change and its impacts

Children's Academy Ashok Nagar has taken pledge to save climate. We have taken several measures already and we will keep on doing it. 

We have written a letter to the PMO in hopes to fight climate change together. We have suggested a few solutions and initiatives we want the government to take to save our planet. 

Solar energy systems do not produce air pollution or greenhouse gases. Using solar energy can have a positive indirect effect on the environment when solar energy replaces or reduces the use of other energy sources that have larger effects on the environment.

Children are the least responsible for climate change, yet they will bear the greatest burden of its impact.

Climate change is a direct threat to a child’s ability to survive, grow, and thrive. Therefore it is our responsibility to make them aware about the global Climate concerns. Collaboration with students across the globe is one way to achieve this.  As a part of the Climate action Program2021, Venkateshwarians once again collaborated with Secondary School #5, Russia to enhance their knowledge about Climate issues across the Globe. Students of grade IX explained how their school has decreased their Carbon footprint by adopting Solar Power. Venkateshwar Global School has installed solar power plant at its roof top which generates electricity sufficient enough to meet more than half of its total power requirements. Students organized a virtual tour of the solar power plant for their Russian friends. They explained the working, maintenance and limitations of the solar panels. Not only in the school, they elaborated how their housing societies are switching to solar power and hence reducing the carbon footprint. 

The Russian students shared their research on pollution, forest fires and non-conventional energy resources in their country. Students of grade X of the # 5 school Russia presented their work in the form of a wakelet. Students of both the schools were benefitted by it.

We collaborated with other school to find solutions and actions for climate change.

Students organised community outreach programmes for spreading the awareness.

As a part of the International CAP , the students of Navrachana Higher Secondary School,  Sama went the extra mile ensuring civic participation to bring about a change in the immediate environment of their city. A contingent of students and educators met The Honorable Municipal Commissioner, Ms. Shalini Agarwal to submit a petition regarding action for solid waste management in the city. This bunch of enthusiastic students leaders of Navrachana made a presentation before the commissioner about the steps they are taking for Climate Action. In addition they had suggestions of their contributions towards developing awareness about solid waste management. The students have proposed to create posters, jingles and ppts to raise awareness amongst stakeholders. 
The Honorable Municipal Commissioner Ms. Shalini Agarwal was impressed by the school's endeavours and the high sense of responsibility of the students. She agreed to the proposal happily and gave further directions to the students.

This was done to create awareness among people about the impacts of climate change.

Plantation drive was taken up as students and people in surrounding area were sensitised the need to protect the environment.

Letter to the Agriculture Minister & Webinars

Students planted saplings and also other group og students created a minecraft (PPT) giving solution to help get industrial wastes removed from water bodies and restore easy drinkable water.

 Millennium World School, Faridabad, under the ongoing project, collaborated virtually on Zoom with S.R. International School, Mumbai on 27 October 2021. 

The students shared their state's geographical conditions and how the people are coming around to help protect the environment for a better future ahead. Presentations were shared and a discussion broke out among the students about various aspects of climate change and how a single person can alter the course of preserving nature. 

The collaboration was an immense success as a lot of new and eye-opening information was shared among the schools. We hope to collaborate with various other schools for learning should never come to a halt.

Topic: Students take action and bring change at school, home, community and the government Students Action : In school: Our student give voice to zero literless campaign .we should not pollute the Environment . We should follow 5r concept Reduce Recycle,Reuse, Recover, Replace. Our Children collect the waste and convert into the useful material to reuse the product like water bottle as gardening purpose, craft work material from CD, paper work… In home: Our children plant a saplings in their home to prevent climate change… Homes and commercial buildings account for about a third of the country’s greenhouse gas emissions, because it takes energy to heat and cool them and to power all the gadgets we’ve got plugged in. Old-style incandescent light bulbs in your house, go buy LEDs instead. And stop electronic devices such as televisions and laptop computers from sipping power all night long. Plugging them into a power strip makes it easy to disconnect them at night, and a “smart power strip” The solar panels and heater renewable energy resources used in home. In Community: Solar renewable energy resources light plant in the streets as street lamp,parks. first and foremost, reduce their consumption; recycle and compost whenever possible; ask their apartment/workplace/church etc. to implement recycling and/or composting; if composting is not an option where they live, that talk to their local representatives about developing a composting program. Our children secure pet animals,birds by building a shed,nest and safeguard them. In government: India’s Prime Narendra Modi has set his country a target of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2070, a significantly later deadline than many other countries attending the Glasgow climate summit. India also set itself a deadline of 2030 to reduce its emissions by one billion tonnes.

In  week 6 the students of IB1 dedicatedly worked on a feasible solution for climate change. They came up with a project titile trash talks wherein they first sensitised the school in an assembly about climate change and how small initiatives can make a huge change on climate inear future. They ordered for different coloured bins so that waste can be segregated and then plastic will be collected by a local recycling organisation. They also requested the students to bring in their household plastic waste fortnightly to school for recycling. They arranged a poster making session with junior section kids in order to evoke a sense of responsibility in them.

Grade 9-10 students sharing their message of action to tackle climate change. Hope International Academy Okinawa was invited by the Climate Action project organizers to represent Japan for the Climate Action Day that will be celebrated on November 4th, 2021.

Students focused on the ultimate question of this project, What Action Can We Take to Tackle Climate Change?

Six groups presented specific local actions that would contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gases. They proposed and urged others to go vegan-a-week, carry portable straws, join a fashion brand's recycling campaign, turn peels into compost, select certified environmentally friendly food sources, follow zero waste recipes, take public transportation, shorter showers, and turn off lights frequently.

Today the whole of humanity has never been more acutely faced with global problems of a socio-ecological nature. The space around us and the internal environment of a person are tightly interconnected.

The students and the teachers joined a webinar organise by Kuala Selangor of Nature Park in conjuction of Festival of Wings'. The main objective of this programme ist to raise up the awareness of importants of birds & firelfies in mangrove areas. This programme also explain that due to climate change, occurence of migratory birds and steps to take care of the migrotary birds.

Ii is on Climate Action.

We are students from SMK King George V Seremban. We have participated in an international Climate Action Project. We have done various different projects regarding climate change. Therefore, we’re writing this letter to provide suggestion on saving Malaysia from further effects of Climate Change.

On the 2nd of November, I've invited Adelyn from Klothlifestyle to share about her organization's effort in helping to combat climate change. This organization actively participates in recycling old fabrics, clothings, shoes and etc. It has also started to recycle plastic materials into fabrics. On this day, we've learned that Malaysians dispose of few hundred tonnes of clothing per year and it is indeed polluting the environment. The main problem about these discarded fabrics is that they are made of microfibre which is actually plastic. And, when they reach the ocean, marine animals will feed on these microfibre. As a result, we are also ingesting plastic from our food. 

My students were also asked to prepare slides on how they are helping to reduce food waste, reduce water pollution and reduce plastic pollution. In summary of this project, I think my students are more aware of the many causes, factors, effects and solutions for climate change. This project is very educational and has helped to create awareness amongst my students.

The srudents in the project informed the rest of the students at the school about climate change, what causes climate change, its effects, and what can be done to sloe it down.

This week, we continued on solutions and made a school-wide protest. In addition, we signed a campaign for the closure of the thermal power plant in our district or for the highest necessary measures to be taken for the pollution it causes to the environment. We wrote a letter to our mayor with the campaign. We want to deliver as soon as possible.

Paper cups and disposable plastics are never used in our school anymore. Our children are little policemen and environmental protectors, all of this has happened with the climate action project.

We wrote a press release-letter and held a climate action march at our school.Our aim is to create local solutions and awareness to the global problem.

Together with the students, we prepared our banners and carried out our march.

Everyone knows that trees are the natural sources of Oxygen as they inhale Carbon dioxide and exhale Oxygen and without it the survival of human beings is not possible on earth. They filter harmful pollutants from the atmosphere and provide us with fresher and cleaner air to breath. Air pollution can be controlled, if we plant more and more trees. 

STUDENTS SPREAD AWARENESS THROUGH A DANCE

Global warming is the long-term heating of Earth's climate system observed since the pre-industrial period due to human activities, primarily fossil fuel burning, which increases heat-trapping greenhouse gas levels in Earth's atmosphere. The tiny tots learn the importance of planting trees / plants and make their contribution towrds mother nature.

EEG as an organisation accredited to UNEP, was invited to participate as a local partner, and launched its “Million Tree Project” in 2007 as part of UNEP’s campaign. EEG, by the end of 2007, had facilitated the pledging and planting of more than one million trees in UAE and the surrounding region.
With EEG’s active engagement with the community, it received pledges from various entities in UAE to support and plant trees under the “Million Tree Project”. By 2010, EEG had managed to exceed the target and plant 2,091,240 indigenous and well adapted trees within the UAE. This marked the culmination of the official affiliation with UNEP for the tree planting project, which went above and beyond in fulfilling its responsibility to the campaign.

We had webinars with climate experts from the UK and we recyled things at home.

The students designed a solar distiller and experimentally proved its effectiveness. They conducted experiments to illustrate the partner effect and the relationship of the phenomenon with rising temperatures.

We wrote to the Prime Minister, the Mayor of Zagreb and the headmaster of our school with suggestions on how to help stop climate change. In the spring, we will replant trees and flowers in the school yard. We decided to bathe local groceries, recycle more and walk. Also we want to help our bears.

Plant a tree is one step to healthy world.

We are fighting climate change. We believe that every action should start with your own engagement. This is the most important step. Little by little, we will change our world for the better and save our planet.

The video contains numerous activities of Vukovar high school students in interaction with students throughout the Republic of Croatia and abroad, all with the aim of ensuring sustainable development. In the video, clips of numerous activities related to achieving the goals of sustainable development are shown. Students of the Vukovar Gymnasium are active in numerous humanitarian, volunteer, cultural and sports activities, as well as activities related to the well-being of the local community.

How can we make the oceans cleaner, less polluted?

We should use less plastic and even ban plastic and waste less. We could also use a huge magnet to pick up waste in the oceans and use products that are not harmful to man and to nature to dissolve waste in the oceans. We could make a new kind of harmless plastic which would dissolve into water. We could ban everything which pollutes the atmosphere especially some kinds of cars

Climate Change is a massive problem.

What are you doing about it? In Clontuskert we want change.

One small change would be to ban plastic packaging in supermarkets.

Let's start with the Fruit and Veg Aisle. Why do we need plastic on fruit and veg at all? It already has its own natural packaging!!!

France is banning fruit and veg packaging from January 2022.

Why can't we do the same? We are calling on the Irish government and all of our supermarkets and shops. Ban plastic on fruit and veg!

The last week of October we celebrated Halloween by making a pledge to not buy new costumes. All students either made their own or used ones from previous years. On November 4th we watched the CAP webinar and we're very excited to represent our school as presenters and be recognized as a "School of Excellence for Climate Action". The students were so inspired we made a goal to continue our commitment to Climate Action by using only natural (leaves, branches etc) or recycled material to decorate for Christmas but not only our class... ALL of the elementary school!

The students decided to modify their bad everyday actions in differents ways: turn off the lights, not waste water, apply the 3 R (recycle, reuse and reduce) and so on. 

As a task during the 6th week of the project, the students wrote a letter to the mayor of our city, presented the problems in their place of residence that are related to the environment and the impact on climate change. Some of them also offered certain solutions.

During the final sixth week, we have been learned, shared, and acted. We transplanted the flowers in our classroom. Also, we have been writing letters for the mayor of Ohrid Municipality and to Public Enterprise Ohridski Komunalec. We attended Global Student Climate Action Day.  Our school has been awarded the prize School of Excellence. 

During the sixth week of the project, we wrote letters to the mayor of Ohrid Municipality as well as to Public Enterprise Ohridski Komunalec. We followed the Climate Action Day. Our school has received the School of Excellence award.

This last activity could be nothing more than watching the World Climate Action Day with my heroes - the students in my class. In addition to following the event together, we virtually invited the greatest eco-activist in our country, Irena Ristic, an actress and influential woman. Together with us, she will look forward to the good news of the proclamation of 250 schools with a mark of excellence. There is a wonderful atmosphere in our classroom, which is complemented by healthy food - fruit salads that we prepared together with the students.

Within the final week we implemented some of the proposed solutions and noted the effects. We wrote letters to the Mayor asking for recycling bins for our school as well as aid in decorating the yard. 

We finished the sixth week of the project by sending letters to the Minister of Environment and the Mayor of Ohrid in which we call on them to help us raise environmental awareness about the consequences of climate change, but also to take concrete solutions that we have offered. Also this week passed in the sign of the Climate Change Day on which our school Kocho Racin was declared in 250 schools that received the status of Schools of Excellence.

In order to protect our planet we decided to plant a lot of trees, a major source of oxygen.

This week, the students made leaflets about the project and the actions taken along the way discussed and distributed leaflets urging people to take measures to protect the environment. They made a fuss: we sort and recycle household waste

We held a local webinar with students from the city, to talk about projects they can get involved in to get handson experience in working towards climate action. 

It was our last week in the project . We participated in Climate Action Day and we were very impressed by all the speakers. As an action we participated in the Lego Build the Change project and organized online flesh-mob of informative posters , also we sent a message to the politicians and citizens about ecological problems. We took part in TV news where told about the project. We would like to say Thank you to all who organized this project. Good-bye , Climate Action Project 2021 , we are looking forward to participating in Climate Action Project 2022. 

Our students from High School Petru Zadnipru plant some trees in the school yard, they talked about the importance of protect our nature to avoid climate changes.

We held a local webinar with students from all the schools from our town, we talked about projects  they can get involved in to bring changes and take action towards climate action.  We encouraged all students to plant  trees , clean the town and recycle things.

Third graders wrote a letter to the world's children. The statements were written in Romanian and English.

It was a period where we discussed with children about this global problem more intensely. We established what are the causes of the problem, the consequences that occur but also about solutions.

My students decided to raise awareness in the local community and write an article for the newspaper in which they wrote about the "Climate Action" project and their ideas for everyday changes people could make to slow down climate change.

We took part in planting trees at our school. 6 trees were planted. Our group has planted oaks.

Our innovative invention is a home plant growth system. We aimed to make something more complex than a sensor connected to a pump. That's why our invention requires almost no user interaction. You just plant whatever crop you want, fill up the water tank, and when the time comes, harvest it. Our software takes care of the artificial lighting and irrigating the plants. We also made a web dashboard to make it easier for the user to tweak some settings or water the plants whenever they feel like it. The system uses a small amount of electricity but since most of it in Poland comes from coal we chose to use a solar panel to power everything.

Together with the coordinator of the project Magdalena Dygala and our six project groups we had a chance to exchange opinions and talk about climate. We shared a piece of our culture and knowledge and got some information about  Indian pupils' projects. Moreover, we got a local press coverage of our activities in the project. 

Students gathered and made a video with a lovely messege where they talk about what they did and left a messege to the world.

We are gathering, for the second year, more and more students to participate on the Climate Action Project. This year, and since we are beginning an eTwinning project called "Green Inclusion", we are also integrating students with special needs. Also, as we've just been approved with a small scale Erasmus+ project about the environment, why not bringing it all together?

We aim to raise awareness about the real problem of Climate Change and make the students, with small actions, make the difference.

So, we'll continue our greenhouse improvement, have workshops with a biologist about topics such as how to create a forest, aromatic plants and their uses, composing and permaculture.

By the end of the project we aim to have a nice vegetables, fruits and aromatic plants garden and have, at least, three composing containers at school and in places around our school.

 Donate or sell food at lower prices instead of wasting it/ throwing it away, walk or use a bicycle, produce straws made of wheat instead of plastic, protect bees and stimulate the creation of bee hives, protect local natural heritage.

This week, students attended a workshop on composting. They engaged on how to do it and started, in teams, doing composting at school to lessen waste from school canteen and bar.

Our aim is to widen this project to 100 families in our community area.

Elevii clasei a II-a C Step by Step au acționat pentru salvarea planetei colectând selectiv materiale reciclabile (hârtie și carton, peturi, baterii uzate).

Datorită condițiilor pandemice ne-am desfășurat activitate asincron. Astfel elevii claselor a VI-a au realizat desene și filmulețe cu diverse intrumente: soft de jocuri video, chatterpix, diverse alte aplicații pe telefon, în care au prezentat măsuri de reducere a schimbărilor climatice. Împreună am participat la climate action day unde am văzut poziția mai multor personalități, oameni de știință, profesori și elevi față de schimbările climatice.

This project urged us to look more closely around us to stop this fast pace of life and think for a few moments ... man in his pursuit destroys all that is most valuable, nature, which offers us everything and without which our life and especially the lives of our children will suffer a lot ....

We started a campaign - A child and a tree can save the world!

Through this campaign we informed students about the causes and effects of climate change, and with them we found a series of solutions:

Each student had to change their carbon footprint, reducing excessive consumption, then they had to find the 5 most important solutions from their point of view.

After reflecting for a long time and making the two tasks mentioned above, we had a meeting in the school yard in the shade of the old walnut and we chose together the best solutions:

1. Each child planted a tree and some flowers resistant to the cold season in the yard of the house.

2. I collected signatures and wrote a letter to the mayor of the commune, Mr. Ioan Rosan, requesting his support in connection with the purchase of 250 fir seedlings that we will plant in the forest on the edge of the village that has suffered extremely much in recent years due to massive deforestation.

3. We will try to reduce paper consumption in the school by 20% by the end of the school year, most of the documents will be kept in digital portfolios

This week the students had presentations about Climate Change. They also made a theatre play about the environment and presented it in order to raise awareness about the importance of helping our planet.

This week we attracted the media along with our actions and we presented to the local community the actions undertaken within the project.

The last week of the project was marked by the joy of achieving the proposed objectives. The students involved wrote letters, planted trees, followed the activities of other students from different countries.

This week, our students built houses for birds and they planted trees in the woods, close of our school.

Also, students cleaned the school yard.

In the last week of the project, students planted trees, placed birdhouses in the trees to provide shelter for the winter. they proposed an action plan for this school year, in which we find the choice of one day a week for everyone to come to school on foot or by bicycle and a collection of a set amount (2 kg of plastic and 5 kg of paper / per week) of recyclable waste, which they will bring to school, in a selective collection contest in which our school is already involved locally.

Vacanta ne-a oferit prilejul de a planta copaci sau pomi fructiferi in gradina bunicilor sau pe campul din apropierea locuintei.

We wanted to go further, so invited an ingineer in environment, hwo talk about it, teach pupils and explained them how the things goes, how to reduce the causes to stop the effects. We plnated a tree in the schoolyard together, the tree of hope, we gave meanings of all that we have learned till this moment.

Acțiuni

This week we committed to planting trees as long as the weather allows it and the species of trees thrive. We contacted the local press and our work has been recognised and praised in our community. Last but not least, we enjoyed watching the Climate Action Day on November 4th and learnt so much from other educators and students. 

6 authors, all students, put together knowledge about climate change by presenting them in a coherent way starting from the climate, the people responsible for these changes, the causes, effects and solutions. The teacher acted only as a coordinator.

Evidence of climate change
The earth's climate has changed throughout history. Even in the last 650,000 years there have been seven cycles of glacial advance and retreat. Most of these climate changes are attributed to very small variations in the Earth's orbit, which changes the amount of solar energy that our planet receives.
It is undeniable that human activities have warmed the atmosphere and the ocean, and there have been widespread and rapid changes in the atmosphere, ocean, cryosphere (the Earth's geosphere made up of all solid water) and the biosphere.
Satellites orbiting the Earth and other technological advances have allowed scientists to see the big picture, collecting many different types of information about our planet and its climate on a global scale. This body of data, collected over many years, reveals the signals of climate change.

Causes of climate change
1. electricity and heating: 30.6% - burning fossil fuels to produce electricity and heat is the biggest cause of climate change, according to the World Resources Institute (WRI). Emissions account for almost a third of total greenhouse gas emissions.
2. transport: 14.8% - cars, planes and other means of transport are the second cause of global warming
production and construction: 13.3% - this issue is not debated as much as transport, but it is the third largest cause of climate change
3. agriculture: 11.1% - our food production systems are causing climate change. Proponents say giving up meat, especially beef, would help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
4. burning of other fuels: 8.2% - this category includes wood and burnt fuels in residential and commercial buildings, but also those used for agriculture.

The effects of climate change
Global climate change has already had observable effects on the environment. Glaciers have shrunk, ice on rivers and lakes has crumbled earlier, plant and animal areas have changed, and trees are blooming faster ....
Scientists are confident that global temperatures will continue to rise in the coming decades, largely due to greenhouse gases produced by human activities.

      In short: The effects of global warming caused by humans are happening now, are irreversible on the time scale of living people and will worsen in the coming decades.

The potential future effects of global climate change include more frequent fires, longer periods of drought in some regions and an increase in the number, duration and intensity of tropical storms.

"Taken together, the range of published evidence indicates that the net costs of climate damage could be significant and increase over time." Intergovernmental Commission on Climate Change

Sustainability, sustainable development, involves taking action now to enable a future in which environmental and living conditions are protected and improved.

  Implementation of sustainability practices:

• increase energy efficiency;
• increasing the use of renewable energy;
• measuring, reporting and reducing direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions;
• conservation and protection of water resources through efficiency, reuse and management of stormwater;
• waste disposal, pollution prevention and increased recycling;
• stimulating the procurement of agencies to promote markets for sustainable technologies and environmentally friendly materials.

An original idea
The leaves of the trees are one of the main sources of oxygen on our planet.
Engineer Julian Melchiorri has designed an artificial biological leaf that can produce oxygen through chlorophyll photosynthesis.
The leaf contains chloroplasts taken from real plant cells, which are suspended in a silk protein material. When it comes in contact with carbon dioxide, water and light, it turns it into oxygen, just like a real plant.
This invention is not only a very solid method in solving climate change, the synthetic leaf that produces oxygen can be used in future space missions, shaping new horizons.
In the absence of gravity, in fact, it is not possible to grow plants and this leads to major problems for oxygen supply. Instead of cylinders and tanks full of 02, space stations could be "filled" with artificial leaves capable of autonomously producing the oxygen astronauts need to breathe and survive.

The students discussed the problems related to the pollution of our city, they wrote a letter to the mayor of the city in which they came up with ideas that can reduce pollution. We are also glad that we participated in a wonderful project in which people take care of our planet.

In the 6`th week ,even if we were on vacation, we took time to get outside and observe the nature arround us, study the beauty of the autumn colours and creating messages from natural elements like leaves, branches, cones, nuts in the international event Outdoor Classroom day. Children took their messages in their families and made commun engagements of personal echological actions.

This week the three institutions involved in the project contacted the press to talk about the actions taken in the project. The third and fifth grade students tried to find solutions to live in a world without pollution, a better world. All three institutions in Timisoara involved in the project are looking forward to the event on November 4.

Convorbire- cum ne influenteaza natura si modificarile climei?

Good evening! Together with my colleagues and students, we planted trees this week and we went out to the Village Museum, in order to make them conscious about nature. It was a good experience for all of us.  We all are enthusiastic about this task.

This week and last week my school was closed because of the pandemic. So all I could do was to attend webinars and try contacting the press to let them know about our school's project.

In partnership with the Forestry Department, our kindergarten children planted linden and birch trees around the playground. In summer, they will have shade, oxygen and birds will build nests in them.

Elevii, împreună cu profesorul au realizat un afiș. Au aflat despre cei 3R și au realizat tablouri din materiale naturale, refolosibile. A fost redactată o scrisoare și a fost trimisă la televiziunea locală și ziarul local. Elevii și profesorul au popularizat pe rețelele sociale implicarea în proiect. Activitățile s-au finalizat cu un dans pe o melodie compusă de elevii clasei și participarea la întâlnirea globală din 4 noiembrie.

This entire project has offered us the opportunity of being informed and getting in touch with people who share the same interests as us. 

This latest activity of the project gave us the opportunity of rounding up all the gathered information throughout these weeks and to recollect the most important facts about Climate Change.

We decided to share our impressions so that everybody in school could see them: we wrote different messages on paper and placed them on the fence surrounding our school. 

It's been a very useful activity for all the students and we are definetly looking forward to taking part in the conference that will take part tomorrow.

ince we decided to train and teach others how to help the planet earth, we decided to be the movers. with the help of parents, we have enriched the ecological corner of the kindergarten with an aquarium, together with the children we maintain it

My students have  decided to change the habits of the people around them. They want to raise awareness of recyling more, save the nature, animals and the balance of the world. As teachers we have understood that they are really enthusiastic and willing to have a big role and become the leaders of this changing around them. Contributing to the pledges and messages for COP26 leaders, by creating our own tree in school & combining messages from our partner schools

Amazing Climate action day with wonderful speakers. 

We have  decided to start protecting the environment by  saving the electricity.

We have changed the lights in our classroom for  economy saving lamps which give more light and use less electricity and energy

Our solutions: 
1. Stop thinking that somebody or something apart of us can save our planet. 
2. Share our knowledge with others. Students are planning to organise meetings with the inhabitants of our village as well as the students from other schools of our region. 
3. Promote a zero waste style of life at home, at school, in the community: reduce, reuse, recycle, refuse, rot. We are going to organise a campaign against burning down dry grass and leaves. For this we have connected with the chief of a local newspaper "StepovaZoria"to deliver a message that it is better for all living creatures to rot than to burn the leaves.
4. Go on educational "tours" and tell people how to sort out their waste.
5. Design a park on the territory of the Lyceum and plant trees. By the way, the administration of the establishment has supported our idea.
6. Take care about wild and homeless animals.

During this week we prepared the article to our local newspaper in order to encourage people to protect our world. We asked them to plant a tree near their work to make our town green. We also asked our government to forbid people to burn leaves.

On week 6 besides of being part of a great webinar where we could be witnesses of extraordinary topics, Colegio Latino's students participated on a local project to clean Sanchez Magallanes' beaches. It's a local community of fishermen where they are having troubles with all the pollution. We went and clean a 3 km long road of plastic, glass and garnish, contacted companies who recycle this and sell it, the money that we collected from this is going to be used for cleaning programs in their community.

After seeing the LEGOS Introduction and the Bees unit, which I did not present in its totality or in the way LEGOS intended it, I am excited to see how my grandson has developed his solutions for this year with great optimism of being the change he wants to see.  I saw real commitment in his eyes because he is beginning to understand the science behind his actions.

Before seeing the Bees video, he already had written a first word's letter requesting a plot at a community garden.  He is committed to making this little garden a biodiverse habitat, with flowers for bees to do their pollination job, for insects to grow as he has even started composting and for us as a family to have fresh produce by planting vegetable and herbs seeds to grow next spring.  He will begin the clean-up of the soil after Thanksgiving which is the time when he takes possession of the garden.

With the introduction video and NASA's Earth has a fever as well as Zaki's Adventures, and the seals not able to keep the children home; my 5-year-old is committed to using, reusing, recycling, and repurposing at home and school, the two areas where he lives, to make sure that the polar bear and seals Artic home is not destroyed by global warming.  He is also committed to decreasing the use of plastic, which he started by using metal straws.

My 3-year-old granddaughter is not grasping concepts yet, but she likes to see the LEGO videos over and over and take the surveys which empower me to rectify first presentation mistakes and generates great connectivity as she learns the meaning of the words by the reflective and grasping power of her drawings and storytelling of her drawings.  This puts us on a good path to make what has started as an online My first letters and words picture book, to My first cardboard letters and words picture book on Climate Action. The title of the book, at the seed idea stage, is "My Climate Action Cardboard Book". The inspiration for this work is the books about cardboard reused presented in the Wakelet Curated list for the Climate Action Project 2021.

Meanwhile, We will continue to update this reflective portfolio.  I feel we have taken baby steps and feel good about our small progress.  The grand finale connected to the EarthShot Awards and Generation gives more than hope that systemic solutions are being embraced by the people who have the legislative and financial power to lower the earth's fever.

We continue our commitment to learning about why the earth has a fever and what a grandmother with her two toddler grandchildren can do to help it get better. 

Yesterday, when we did the Lego's bees activity with my grandfather, it was amazing how the children and my husband connected to the videos and the surveys.  It was like learning to care by playing together.  We designed our little plot of land to help the bees.  The real plot is the small area provided by the Gardening Association in the apartment where my husband and I live in retirement.  The children took the reflective drawings to share the stories with their parents.  My 3-year-old granddaughter was so proud to learn about pollen and the bees, she displayed her reflective drawing on the wall with tape.  

Thank you for the quality of educational tools you provide.  Retired educators, like me, inexperienced with early elementary-age children feel empowered by a clear, creative, and age-appropriate process. Your curriculum and lesson planning were enhanced with the adaptation example provided by the Legos team of what online engaging education must be in 2021. I also started my Wakelet site to keep our progress documented.  What amazing connections!  I look forward to participating again next year.  I will keep on working with my grandchildren. We look forward to the big surprises you will bring to us next year.

En la realización de ese Proyecto: Sembrando esperanzas... Bombas de semillas, se efectivizaron diversos Convenios y aval, necesarios para llevarlo a cabo.

Na sexta semana fomos ao bosque para explorar a natureza e sentir o vento. 

Coletamos elementos naturais como: folhas, gravetos e pedras. 

Diante disso em equipe construimos um móbile com os elementos coletados e colocamos em exposição em sala de aula. 

Observamos que quando o vento soprava o móbile se mexia, uma observação encantadora para explorarmos o elemento "Air". 

We've planted a pitanga tree in our school. Pitanga is a brazilian fruit. 

We wrote a letter to the nutritionist of the school's restaurant and suggest she donates the food waste to a local school in order for them to make organic compost.

In the week number 6 the kids had plant a tree!

Recycling is one of the best ways to fight  Climate Change!! This week our students were charged to transform plastic water bottles into a new vase or toy.

Our final reflections on how to colaborate

Proyecto educativo que promueve el adecuado desecho de desperdicios plásticos, a través del reciclaje con botellas denominadas "Botellas de Amor", donde participan niños y niñas de 5 años que son parte del primer año de educación básica paralelo B de la escuela Mercedes González. 

Les hicieron entrevistas en los centros locales de la ciudad.
