in this week we did skype discussion with 2 countries: ukraine and italy about climat change and what can we do to protect our planet. we also recorded video in flipgrid with solutions.

The Global Goals team from Bahrain successfully planted 25 plant which included 10 trees and 15 ornamental plants at the school campus Bahrain.

It was a wonderful experience for the students.

The children were involved in activities like making seed balls, creating vertical garden and upcycling waste like ripped jeans, plastic bottles, thrown away jeans etc as a part of their action to target the problem of Climate Change.

Considering the pollution being the major cause of Climate Change, they collaborate on how to mitigate the problem. They initiate an awareness drive; wherein they make posters and sensitize their school mates and community members. They also share the governmental regulations and step taken to solve the problem.

Students of Eka have proposed and conducted a simple rally, showing the posters and placards while they gave shout out of slogans to curb Climate change in order to bring awareness and take it to the public. The glimpses of the rally have been recorded and collaged. The video is attached. 

The attached video includes the 4-week sequential tasks. And this is because we started the project late. The fourth week's project is called  "Young Leaders" where you will see the many actions the students have led in our school to bring about change in the day-to-day life of the  school.

Students planted local species of trees. And also according to action plan they grew a vegetable kitchen garden for healthy food . They also made a wish tree and decorate it with their wishes and commitments.

In the fourth week to November, students will develop scientific models and projects based on scientific research to reduce environmental pollution and raise awareness in the community about the environment and climate change.

We listed out many actions to stop and control this climate change.Specially for the students there should be many awareness programs and immediate actions to save the environment.To stop air,land and water pollutions,We're late but we still have time to take actions for climate changes.

Week 4: Action

Students's showcase of their project at school for parent and friends to read and call for them to act together to combat the climate change.

We are in the process of connecting with another classroom but timezone is a problem and at the moment, we are looking for a classroom for a skype connection so that we can share with each other about what we have done in this project. 

In this part of project on our school with a collaborate with Eldiona Shahaj, ICT teacher, we take some workshops with students on school. We suggest some themes for the message from Albania students, like a for a better future without plastic ect ect

Students focus an the theme: " Urban green design and hou to tachle cimate change ", which they prepared in German.

In the action for the climate, 5th Grade students have started the GG7 project with the Cosmos robot, students have programmed a robot prototype to take students from home to school and bring them back home, the past two weeks of programming, the students enjoyed and each achieved their own program where the prototype went to pick the student up - say: Good morning ¨Richi¨ and bring the student to ISHR (International School Hannover Region), in Hannover- Germany.

 Our students took political action!They wrote letters proposing solutions about deforestation and delivered them to The Greek Minister of Enviroment and Energy.They also spoke to the Greek Minister about their amazing experience of participating in Climate Action Project !

Week  4  Our final task : Planting trees

A practical experiment to discover what the maching machine is leaving in the sea

We planted trees in our school garden and started school action about planting trees for other classes. While planting the tree, a Gdansk city coucilman came to help us. We hope our actions cause positive effects.

The students worked in groups to create a Walking Trail by Qr Codes that can be used by all visitors of our Ria Formosa Natural Park.

Each station of the Walking Trail has a Qr Code that is linked to a website that was created to post all the info gathered by the Students. The Website is available in Portuguese; English and French, so that all the Park Visitors can acess to the information, mainly because there are many foreigner visitors in this part of Portugal (The Algarve).

This Walking Trail was used in our Erasmus Project called " European DNA" during the Portuguese Mobility. Not only our guests answered a quiz during their visit to the park using the Qr Codes, but they also created brochures using the info they searched on our website and played a Metaverse 3D Game about what they learned during their visit to the Park.

Here we are with our final step of climate action project. This week childrens conclusion was that we need to plant as many trees that is posible to help our planet and stop climate changes. With our preschool institution and our frinds who works in "Indjijativa" , on beautiful autumn morning thay gave us 7 seedings of Liriodendron tulipifera. Children planted trees with smiles and songs. They drew thers best wishes for the tree and give them. By the end of the week theachres went to Novi Sad and replace old newspapers that we colected (about 400kg) for recycling for more seedings (5 more). This was a beautiful experience, children learn a lot, and we hope to see you soon with something new!

Last week in our video we talked about potential solutions of what could be
done to solve the climate crisis and this week it was time to make some action...

We talked how to take care of our nature and we were reading story "What a girl named Ana knows about taking care of nature" by Simeon Marinkovic.

We brainstormed, worked together to think of what would be good things of planting a tree...

We got 3 donations of two types of trees - one lat. Picea and two lat. Thuja. We planted together with children, donators, parents, grandparents and teacher both trees and participated in action #PlantED: a global tree planting!

This week we concluded the project with Skype session. We met with 8th graders from Tunisia and  had fun sharing posters, ideas and actions.

Week 4 - it's time for action! In our object, seven groups Planted seven trees - liriodendron tulipifera. We had a donation, and Planted trees in cooperation with organisation of young people from our town called "Inđijativa". First, we were reading a story "The giving tree", an we were dancing to a song about planet Earth. Then, children made wishes for our tree, and we went outside to plant. Feeling was perfect, children were so happy, and when we planted our tree, they posted their wishes - to have a lots of sun, and rain, to grow big and strong, and to be healthy. They also wanted to give our tree a lots of love! They were hugging and nurturing the tree, and they said that when it grows up we will be sitting underneath and enjoying fresh air :) So, every day we go outside and water our tree, giving it all the love it needs! In next period we are expecting more seedlings from our recycling action :) It was such a pleasure being a part of this project! 

After 4 weeks of intensive brainstorming, my 37 Students (from La Purísima EFI Valencia - Academic French Subject, aged 16 to 18) are being almost 'experts' in #ClimateActionP. 

Yet, we haven't totally finished our Adventure: with the last but not the least part of this awe-inspiring Project, we are going to keep sharing solutions with our local community and other worldwide schools taking part in this global project and we will actually take Actions with #PlantED at the end of November to plant Trees in Naquera township, a village near Valencia in Spain. 
We will also set up an exposition to divulge all the great ideas that our students came to in order to inform our School Community about the Climate Change issue in a didactic way.

So that, the Educational journey undertaken in early October will go on to keep us aware of the delicate situation we are all in!!!

Indeed, we still have a long way to traverse as Global Citizens but it has been a smart start to begin acting as individual human being to help changing the predestinate future of our Planet Earth if we still conduct ourselves that way... 

As teacher, I must also enhance that I've been learning a lot, thanks to your great Lesson Plans Koen, and that I'm looking forward to endorsing the next mission.

Solutions PLEDGE

- In the schoolyard and at home: Separate to Recycle correctly: Reuse, Repair and Donate. Donate clothes, school supplies and books from previous courses to NGO associations to also be in solidarity with the needy. Promote zero-waste break: reusable lunch boxes and flasks.

- Reduce the use of polluting means of transport avoiding air travel, cars ... using public transport, bicycles, or going on foot to the hangout sites, driving hybrid or electric cars.

- Do not buy harmful products for the environment of multinational brands that only care for economic benefits to the detriment of climate change: extensive livestock, felling of trees for macro farms and palm oil plantation ... Ban addiction to excessive consumption in favor of local markets and seasonal products: healthier habits to stay fit. Reduce meat intake.

- Go to the purchase with your reusable and eco-friendly cloth bags both for the purchase of fruit and vegetables. Also go with glass containers for bulk purchase.

- Thus promote a much healthier lifestyle for both us and our Planet. As young people of a globalized world, show interest in what surrounds us locally: concentrate to demand that the national and local government make the appropriate decisions on our behalf in the face of global warming: boost renewable energy: solar panels and wind energy in the Mediterranean  area for example, and beautify cities with urban gardens, where ecological fertilizer collected from organic and non-pesticide waste and massive tree planting will be used ... urban helmets without cars but parks.

This was an amazing week for all the students.  The eco club told us how they collected plastic and created eco bricks that can then be used to build structures. 

We had our second Skype with a school in Poland with Gosia Buszman and it was brilliant!  The school in Poland told us what they did each week and we had the opportuity to tell them what we did and the students could ask questions to each other.  It is really incredible how different schools around the world are getting together for Climate Change!!

Students of our school have decided to plant the alley of graduates of our school and started a new tradition to help nature.

Only working together, communicating and helping each other we could plant 36 trees to make our school even more beautiful and help to fight climate change.

During the fouth week the students of Kherson gymnasium # 1 do a lot of activities. We share presentations and Flipgrid videos, do the researching on Science lessons, have Skype metting with Egypt and Tunisia, meet guests from National park of Ukraine and, of course, plant trees!

After generating a list of Climate Solutions and adding them to the 'Longest List', our class modelled "Chakra the Invincible" comic.  Seven groups each took a proposed solution and made comics and hero's for their solutions.

The best way to slow global warming is to plant trees.

Here is a recap of what we learned and will continue to dive into about climate change and what we can do to help

Our month long global project is coming to a close this week. We began by collaborating with a 5th grade class as we learned about Climate Change. Then we began to interact with experts in person and using technology like Zoom and Skype. Students researched, wrote questions for speakers, created posters, and wrote extensively about what they learned and heard.

Monday we will partner with the Pinelands Preservation Alliance and the AmeriCorp to plant trees in the Buck's Cove Run section of the Brendan Byrne State Forest in Burlington County, New Jersey. We will be planting trees where earlier this year ATV riders destroyed over 400 of them. As part of our learning we had....

We addressed more than 373 NJ State Student Learning Standards over the four weeks.

Students worked in partner groups to interview eachother about climate change. They discussed what it is, what causes it, what they can do to stop it, and what it means to them. They made ~1 minute Flip Grid videos to record their interviews.

Students looked for phrases in the Internet that represented solutions as a way to raise awareness regarding the problem of climate change. They filmed them both in English and Spanish, the latter being their mother tongue.
