Andrew Medearis

My name is Andrew Medearis. I am a grades 9-12 Life Sciences facilitator at the i3 New Tech Academy @ Flagler Palm Coast High School- a Problem and Project based learning Academy (school within a school model) in Florida. Being accepted to the Climate Action Project gives our students another authentic science opportunity to work with their peers and other learners across the globe to solve a major challenge that they will have to face within their lifetime. 

Trasey Nomachi

Trasey Nomachi is the Japanese language teacher and is also serving as the Lead Teacher of the World Languages/Global Studies Magnet school at Venice High School in Los Angeles, California, USA. She is working with dedicated, passionate teachers who are empowering students to explore and discover solutions to issues that affect them today and in the future as well. This year's theme for the magnet school is SDG#4 Quality Education and there are projects and events planned throughout the year to enable the students to find their voice and use it to better their future world.

Naomi Volain

Naomi Volain is a science teacher who connects plants to people as a hands-on tool to climate change solutions. A Top Ten Finalist for the Global Teacher Prize, Naomi is the producer of Plants Go Global, an educational initiative. Hands-on methods, inquiry and outdoor education characterize her career work. She’s excited to use the genre of comics to teach Botany and Environmental Science

Allison Haltom

Allison is a collaborative ENL teacher for the multilingual students in a KG-4th grade building in Fishers, Indiana.  She believes that that assets of her multilingual learners can be highlighted through the inclusion of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and a globalized curriculum.  The framework of the SDGs lends to endless possibilities for project-based learning, service learning, and global awareness in the classroom.  These experiences provide the opportunity to enhance the learning of all students, increase their involvement in their own community and make meaningful c

Shelly A Munoz

Shelly A Muñoz is an award-winning educator, 20+ year veteran of the classroom, staff development instructor, and university professor. Her numerous recognitions include “Teacher of the Year” twice and “California Golden Bell” award winner twice. She has been privileged to teach science from 5th- 10th grades and has been chosen for many prestigious opportunities such as Space Camp for Educators & Sustainability Ambassador ( Honeywell ) Zero G's ( Northrop Grumman) NASA Ambassador and MAVEN ambassador, just to name a few.
