Causes of climate change

My class was divided into groups of 5 students each. Groups had to present on the following topics;

- Definition of climate change

- Difference between climate and weather

- the ultimate list of the causes of climate change.

Week 1's activity ended with a quiz which was organised between the students of Adventist college of Yaoundé (CAY), Cameroon and the students from Bernardin Frankopan Grammar and Vocational School, Ogulin, Croatia.

Effects of climate change

Climate change has so many effects on both humans, animals and plants.

In Africa, one of the main effects of climate change is drought and change in weather parttens. The temperature is becoming hotter, and the amount of precipitation is also decreasing. This makes it difficult for vegetaion to grow and animals have little access to water.

All these effects go a long way to reduce food security and may result to economic problems as well.

Week 3 19551

Solutions to climate change

After looking at the causes and effects of climate change locally in Africa, students and educators from Dowen college of Lagos (Nigeria) and College Adventist de Yaoundé (Cameroon) exchange ideas in a virtual meeting on how to combat climate change in Africa.

Solutions include sensitization and implementation of strict rules again deforestation and preservation of biodiversity.
