At DLDAVPP we understand, appreciate and value our green gold (environment). It is important that this precious gift is nurtured, preserved and reserved for the next generation. To ensure our students become global green citizens they are sensitized through awareness programmes, participate in Van-Mahotsav celebrations and practice and preach the golden rule – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

SWACHHATA PAKHWADA is a nation-wide campaign in INDIA that aims to promote cleanliness in all the schools. The SHAPATH/ OATH taking ceremony marked a significant beginning of SWACHHATA PAKHWADA in Darbari Lal DAV Model School Pitampura Delhi on 04.09.19. It was the solemn occasion where the students of different classes were prepared to take an oath of keeping themselves and their surroundings clean.

Plantation Drive was held in our school on 10.09.19. The students actively participated in the drive. School Principal, teachers and students planted saplings in the school nursery. The students planted various types of plants. School Principal Mrs Anita Wadehra interacted with the students about the need to save water and save our Mother Earth by planting more trees. The school gardener taught them how to plant trees. Thereafter, they watered the plants. The students and teachers thoroughly enjoyed.

WE THE STUDENTS OF DLDAV MODEL SCHOOL PITAMPURA TAKE A PLEDGE THAT WE’LL KEEP OURSELVES AND OUR SURROUNDINGS NEAT AND CLEAN BY NOT MAKING THE USE OF PLASTIC, BY PLANTING ATLEAST ONE TREE, BY CONSERVING WATER AND SAVING OUR ENVIRONMENT.
