use of man made chemicals is effecting a lot soil biota. side by side such chemicals are responsible for causing biomagnification. it ultimately affects the higher trophic level organisms. so we start producing more and more chemicals to supress the effects of those chemicals which we are using in a crop field as human bodies are in a dis-ease mode i.e. DISEASE.
