Another inspired week 2
Week 2
Placed by Lucia Horozov 2020/Oct/10
We can declare this week as a productive one and efficient in exploring and finding interesting and relevant information about the Climate Change Impacts on the local environment, fauna, flora, and even human activities and lifestyles.
The students proved to be very curious so they had the courage to interview their parents their great-parents about how climate change occurs over long periods of time. Therefore, they came up with the conclusion that Moldova due to such causes like pollution, burning of fossil fuels, and deforestation is highly vulnerable to climate variability and change, which bring droughts, late spring frosts, hail, floods, and severe storms, short winters, also, soil erosion, poor air quality, and undrinkable water. These negative impacts affect human behavior and the extinction of animals. Increasingly erratic weather patterns have resulted in the loss of life and income through rising food and energy prices. Also, these impacts threaten our health by affecting the food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe, and the weather we experience.
In addition, as an extension activity, an interview was done and recorded with a great expert in agriculture, who helped us to understand better how Moldovian agriculturists should model and adapt to the effects of climate change.
We ended the activities of the week with the motto: "Start being a human!!! "
