A special guest speaker from WWF joined Students of Beaconhouse Gulshan Middle 1 to discuss the urgent climate issues, and causes of climate change thet we are facing. Our young climate action warriors were insprired to take action for a greener future.

The planet is struggling to keep up with our increased demands on natural resources

As greenhouse gas emissions blanket the Earth, they trap the sun’s heat. This leads to global warming and climate change. The world is now warming faster than at any point in recorded history.

Our grade 9 students have created a talkshow to explore the week 1 topics of defining climate change and exploring the causes of climate change. The students also showed how our St Nicholas School community is spreading awareness on the issue of climate change.

This week we have discussed the activities which we want to do in the frame of the Climate Action Project.

We have also discussed how to motivate our school community to participate in the project.

There is a group of students which has decided to collaborate tightly to increase the awareness of the school community.

We have also studied Sustainable Development Goals to see which aspects could also be useful for us throughout the project.
