Sukhmeen Kaur Cheema holds the designation of Vice Principal and Senior School Counsellor with The Indian School, Delhi. She is a young, vivacious professional who wants to make a difference in the lives of students. Her area of expertise is teacher-training, career counselling, personal one-on-one sessions with students and parents on various socio-emotional issues. She is a Microsoft Innovative Educator and Fellow who has been selected among 10 educators to represent India for her project "Distress to De-stress" at Budapest, Hungary in 2016. She has been regularly writing articles in newspaper dailies and educational magazines like Mentor etc. on mental health and educational topics. She has won awards for Excellence in Counselling Services and and Administrative Reforms in 2017-18 and also in Teacher Leadership in promoting life skills, attitudes and values. Sukhmeen regularly conducts workshops for teachers, students and parents on stress management, emotional quotient, safe internet usage, resilience, global concerns like plastic use, citizenship, climate change and many other global issues. She has been a part of CBSE helpline for pre and post exam helpline since past 7 years and also a part of Hindustan Times helpline since past few years. She has appeared in various programmes on Doordarshan like Total Health and Genext. She brings innovations in pedagogy by arranging various skype lessons with different countries throughout the world.
