Definition of Climate Change:
The rapid change of temperature and environment, different effects in different areas, caused due to the release of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, as a result of human actions.
Effects of Climate Change:
Rising Sea levels are eroding away coasts and eating up land.
Ice Shelves are dangerously collapsing
Forest fires and Droughts are destroying North America.
Floods are ravaging coastal homes and are making people move toward the deserts.
Droughts and storms are becoming more dangerous and severe here than any other part of the world.
Causes of climate change:
Generating electricity.
Transportation
food production
deforestation
use solar or wind energy to power your house instead of fossil fuels.
never throw away foods. As it eds up in a landfill and produces methane when it rots.
minimise usage of private vehicles or walk and cycle.
Opt for buying electric vehicles instead of petrol or diesel-based vehicles.
