Skúlína Hlíf Kjartansdóttir is an adjunct at University of Iceland School of Education. Her professional experience includes teaching at all school levels, educational management and work on curriculum design while chairing the Icelandic Vocational Council of Design and Craft Studies (Iceland Ministry of Education, Science and Culture). She worked for several years as a designer and product manager in computer games design, software development, quality assurance and web management. She is a board member of RANNUM - Centre for Educational Research on ICT and RASK - Media and Research Centre for Creativity in Education. Skulina’s research concentrates on mobile learning and tablet use, game-based learning, digital literacies, makerspaces and pedagogical creativity. Her ongoing research involves establishing of school-based makerspaces as well as design thinking and making in game environments.
