Mariam is a Communications Specialist, a freelance journalist and a UN Volunteer. She is a My World 2030 Asia-Pacific Online Advocate. She has previously volunteered for Goals Project, UNDP, UNOOSA, IYF, INAS, Rumie Initiative, Iuventum, and socialprotection.org. She writes on culture, history, social development in local dailies. She believes the Sustainable Development Goals are the way forward in achieving a better lifestyle. SDG 4 is especially close to her heart as quality education can help bring about tremendous social change, which eventually can transform the lives of many, as education helps drive the wheel of positive change. She is also a strong advocate of SDG 13, Climate Action.
